SUNDAY SKOOL - SEPTEMBER
A grand B2VOS meet up was planned for the September Sunday Skool and as you might have guessed you could count the attendee's on one hand - some things never change (you lazy arses). I guess we should excuse Matt as later that night we found out about the legal problems the site was facing.
What you missed (unless your Darren , Dale, Edd, L-Double, Penfold, Destiny, Deluxe - shouts boys) was another top meet up. If you have never been to a Sunday skool they are pretty relaxed chilled out affairs running from about midday to 10pm - and they are on Sunday - doh! Great place to meet up, chew the cud, chill out and meet other oldskoolers - all to the background of wicked tunes from back in the day.

Having said that the Resonance crew make a small East end pub look like the middle of a full on rave. The soundsystem booms, the lighting is great, there was a smoke machine and as ever a lazer as well. If you stand up the front you can easily forget your in a pub and not in a massive rave, and there were plenty of people doing just that shaking their stuff when we arrived at about 5pm.

Tuneage played ranged from 94/95 happy hardcore set from uplift, early 91 piano tunes through to full on to a classics set from DJ Herman, an underground set from Jedi (I always like a set that leaves with a couple of ID's to sort out) and my personal fav of the day Flashback, who played a ruff 92/93 set with plenty of underground 93 darkcore thrown in - there should be more sets played out like that IMO.

Trip to Maccy Dee's up the road ensured no one went hungry, cheap beer (£2 a pint) ensured that some went home pretty merry (especially the bank managers amoung us - lol), some good chat and some wicked tunes ensured we all went home happy.

The next Resonance event is coming up on 6th October - Riverdance - which promises to be a full on event. If you want something more chilled out, or your wanna take an easy Sunday after a hard weekends clubbing you should check Sunday Skool. Details for both events can be found on the Resonance website.
