Top 92 action with bags of energy and lots of cheeky samples. The piano riff makes this tune and the"Tell me I am crazy" vocal finishes it off. Kariya sample about half way through is my only complaint - not very original. I wish I could tell ya more about the label and arist but I know nowt other than there are about 10 more releases on the label

Hoover samples in effect for this wicked white label. Main sample is a fucked up version of Tronik House's ..... which itself is ripped from ..... which is no doubt ripped from somewhere else - lol. The EP has 4 pretty different mixes - this one is my favourite. Harder to find than any of the classics which go for hundreds of quid on E-bay and on a few peoples' wants lists (hence why I kindly put it up.

Yes yes very nice EP this, four tracks all pukka - 1991 hands in the air and uplifting. Highlander is my close favourite probably cause of the wicked female vocals. The tune contains a lot of styles mixed up managing to switch from smooth to manic without any loss of flow. Written by one Ant Miles no less so got some pedigre behind it - why not played more is a mystery.
| I KOMMENCE - PSYCHOACOUSTIC - (DC1202) | ||||

Well if you know anything about oldkool you'll know this tunes big brother and label m8 "Do you feel what I'm feeling" by Menace Makes 3 on DC1203. Well this is the tune before. Its a pretty rought tune in both style and production but still a little corker IMO. I'm looking thought the Dance City back cat and thinking that they had a little bit of a problem spelling - lol.
| GOTTA HAVE YOUR LOVE - 3 RUDE BWOYS (MHSE002) | DOWNLOAD | |||

The list of people involved in this tune is massive (the bit going round the outside of the vinyl) - but what makes sense is that is was produced by Mad Ragga Jon seen on quite a few nice little underground numbers the best known probably being Rhydim Come Forward. I can't beleive Mad Ragga Jon isn't a sudamym for someone better known cause nearly all his tunes are spot on.
| RELEASE - INTERFACE(remix) - CONTANGIOUS(RUSS005) | DOWNLOAD | |||

Had never heard of this label till I picked up a couple of tunes of it in the back end of 2001. If you see any give them a whirl - mad and massively energetic - this is proper oldskool rave. This tune looks likes its called Release and is by Interface supposed to be remixes but can't say I know the originals. If anyone knows anything else about the Contangious label let me know.
| CLARKEE EP VOL 2 - CLARKEE - (PGX1) | DOWNLOAD | |||

This tune is awesome. I'm gonna find it really difficult to tell you why I like it so much its just the whole package all together that does it for me. DJ Clarkee still DJ's out at the big oldskool events and is still making music. You can catch him at his new home Area 51 Records and sometimes known to lurking on the oldskool list - lol
| RED AND BLACK EP - UNCLE & FLEX - (UG04) | DOWNLOAD | |||

This is another corker from Cool Hand Flex's Underground label - as usual there is no track listing. Starts off with a sonar ping that reminds me of a little of the start to DJ's unite and doesn't really kick off till after the first breakdown. All this is cool for DJ's cause plenty of time to mix in but bear it in mind when your listening to the clip and give it a chance.
| MADNESS - DJR - AWESOME (SL006) | DOWNLOAD | |||

Its the riff in this tune that kills me - really clever stuff and really moody just the way I like it - and then breakdown into a really smooth piano ....mmmmmm.. tasty stuff. This tune got a happy hardcore remix which is just blasphamy, totally misses the subtlety and depth of the original version. SL now that could be my six release - I wish
| RUFF & MASSIVE - WINDY MILLER - ARMSHOUSE (DA03) | DOWNLOAD | |||
![]() |
Daddy Armhouse had some top releases - the original of Return of the Donut, the remix of "We are about to take LSD", Blacka Shade of Dub. This is more top tunage this continuing on the slightly more mellow tune. Label is actually Cloud 9 (aka Nookie) own which accounts for the quality. It was either this one or the Traitor - maybe that can come in the next obscure archive
